A night of Wit and Poetry with John Tottenham
John Tottenham has one of the best bios we’ve ever read. It’s so good than any introduction we could come up with would simply pale in comparison. Check it out for yourself:
After graduating from London’s worst art school in the mid-’80s, John Tottenham moved to the United States, where he has resided ever since, mostly toiling upon the lower slopes of journalism. After many years of resistance, he finally sold out to the lucrative, fast-paced world of poetry. He is the author of one book, The Inertia Variations, an epic and ever-expanding poetic cycle on the subject of work-avoidance, failure and indolence.
See, it’s obvious that John Tottenham knows a thing or two about witty writing and that’s why Artillery and The Standard, Hollywood have decided to let him curate our next co-event: An Evening of Poetry Curated by John Tottenham with poets Dottie Grossman, Eric Erlandson, and Hank Cherry. Frankly, we couldn’t stop chuckling last time John Tottenham visited us and can’t wait to see what witticisms he comes up with next!
As part of an ongoing collaboration between The Standard and Artillery, the poetry reading will occur at The Standard, Hollywood on Tuesday, June 14th. A wine reception will precede the event; both are open to the public.
