On the evening of the birthday of artist Vincent van Gogh, artist Gregory Siff invited guests to take revenge on Hollywood with the film painT … a celebration of the life of an artist with new works by Gregory Siff alongside photos captured by Ingrid Mellor.
What exactly is painT? What if Vincent van Gogh was born today? painT tells the story of Vinny, a struggling artist and quintessential “art underdog” who sees the world as a living, breathing painting. Set against the backdrop of the New York and LA art scene, painT is an American update on the tragic life of van Gogh, seen through the eyes of his modern day counterpart and spiritual heir, examining the fine line between love, madness and paint. The film will be introduced in the lobby of The Standard, Hollywood.
