Anyone who has come to New York City during the gorgeous summer months knows that the only way to party is on the roof. Usually, informal get togethers on tar topped roofs with buckets of beers and chilled rosé abound within the five boroughs. But for the more savvy imbiber, hotel tops are the way to go. We love a hotel top.
That’s why this past June The Standard, New York opened Le Bain, a bi-level nightclub on the 18th and 19th floors. On the first floor, an all black room equipped with a diamond shaped whirlpool that can hold 20 revelers awaits your imminent arrival, but it gets better…
Just a short flight of stairs up to the roof brings you to what the New York Daily News calls “The Standard’s Hedonism Hotspot”. They pretty much got it right. The outdoor space offers two bars, four pink terry cloth waterbeds, green astroturf covered floors and sweeping views of the entire city!
With the days getting colder and the nights getting shorter, you’ll want to come to the roof asap. Le Bain is open Monday - Sunday to the public from 2pm - 10pm and then by the door’s discretion after 11pm for the nighttime debauchery!
