How Did we Miss this Bit of Awesomeness?
We know that you may have already seen this clip of the forthcoming 71 minute epic Girl Talk music video, especially since it was already mentioned in a few little periodicals like, say, The New York Times and, um, The Huffington Post. We apologize if you’re all, “Hey Standard, February called and wants their video clip back”. It’s just that we only discovered it yesterday and would hate to think there are a few others out there who, like us, may have missed out on this little bit of awesomeness. Enjoy!

One Step Beyond: The Scissor Sisters

Jake & Ana
For a while now, I’ve been hearing about this killer monthly party called One Step Beyond that happens uptown at the American Museum of Natural History. You know, the place where that big blue whale hangs out in near proximity to the shooting stars in the Hayden Planetarium? Anyway, I’ve been hesitant to go for a few reasons, but the biggest one being that I can never find my passport which I need to go that far uptown.
But this month, when I received the invite in my YSL clad inbox, I changed my mind for one reason and one reason only. The Scissor Sisters. You heard me right. If anyone was going to force me to brave the journey north, it’s going to be Jake and Ana.
This week, the crazy duo make their very first hometown DJ appearance at the museum with returning DJ guests Lauren Flax and Activaire. The only thing to do now is buy my tickets and dig through my archives for that vintage Rei Kawakubo look so that the hipster kids don’t mistake me for their pharmacist. See you on the Stan D’ancefloor!
xoxo
