Who is this exotic creature in the woods, you ask? She’s our very own Jacqui Cikra. Here she is on The Standard Downtown rooftop where we grabbed her a second and gave her The Standard quiz. We warn you, she’s compellingly infectious.
First off, tell us a bit about your background, and what you do at The Standard?
I was raised by Buddhist penguins in Los Angeles and moved to Hawaii to further my career in the Hospitality/Tourism Industry. After college I moved back to LA where I ride horses, shop, surf, snowboard and drink Jameson and NyQuil (not together).
I’ve been in the Hospitality Industry for the past 6 years and find hotels fascinating. I am a Sales Manager for the Entertainment and Lifestyle Industry and I have a HOOT doing it!
What’s your favorite secret spot in downtown Los Angeles?
Tony’s Saloon… “Pool. Ping Pong. Parking” and Church & State for yummy eats. Both aren’t really a secret, but I can tell you my friends secrets there…
What’s one of your most memorable moments in the building?
Dressing up as a penguin with my co-worker and running around causing mayhem in the hotel and all over Downtown LA.
What was the last song you downloaded?

What is your favorite movie based in a hotel?
Home Alone 2
What are you most excited about for 2011?
My roommate’s Costco card and using my 2011 Ugly Doll Calendar I just bought.
